Commissioned by private donors and the city of Kingsport, The Sentinel is a life-sized bronze with stunning detail in full current combat Iraq/Afghanistan field gear. A year and a half in the making, he stands atop a base that includes the seal of the six branches of the military. Unveiled on Veteran's Day 2018, located at 1630 Fort Henry Dr, Kingsport TN 37664

Commissioned by private donors and The City of Kingsport, The Spirit of Generosity commemorates the 75th consecutive running of The Santa Train, which originated in Kingsport in 1942 to deliver annually approximately 15 tons of toys, books, clothes and food to rural Appalachia along a three-state 14 stop train route, always on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Starting in Pikeville Kentucky in the pre-dawn hours and winding through parts of Virginia and Tennessee, Santa and his helpers distribute gifts along the way until they reach Kingsport in the early afternoon, when Santa disembarks the train to lead the Christmas Parade downtown. Commissioned by Marcia and Marvin Gilliam Jr. Foundation for the City of Bristol TN/VA in cooperation with Art in Public Places, Take the Stage is an interactive sculpture featuring two bronze life-sized buskers who are ready to be your band as you step up to the microphone! Located near The Birthplace of Country Music Museum, it is an extremely popular and beloved Bristol icon and a must do selfie spot while visiting the twin cities. The sculptures also have local historical references and hidden insignia relevant to the project. During Bristol's annual music festival Rhythm & Roots tourists line up, taking turns posing with the sculptures day and night. Commissioned by CASA East Tennessee, two life-sized bronze children comfort each other while sitting atop a large black granite triangle base with the inscription on one side reading In remembrance of lives lost to child abuse and on the other side reading In celebration of lives saved through caring. Inscriptions on the brick pavers that surround the base include names and wishes of smaller donors with larger donors being listed on the back of the granite triangle. Everyone going in and out of the Juvenile Court goes by this lasting monument and is reminded of the powerful necessary work of CASA. Unveiled 2009, located 3323 Division St, Knoxville TN 37919

Commissioned by friends of Owen, the four bronze vintage model train set pieces include an engine, two cars and a caboose and are hidden in Centennial Park for children to find. Celebrating the life of a local toddler battling cancer who loved trains, these artworks are beloved by children and adults alike. Unveiled 2017, located at Centennial Park 245 E Main St, Kingsport TN 37660.

Commissioned by Eastman Credit Union in cooperation with Art in Public Places, world renown illustrator Charles Vess created the line artwork that now crests the three arches of this stainless steel sculpture located in front of the Bristol Library. Standing 16' high and 10' wide by 4' deep, it creates a beautiful proportionate portal to cross into the library's courtyards. Art Now LLC was the project manager and collaborator on this beautiful work. Unveiled 2014, located at 701 Goode St, Bristol VA 24201

Commissioned by The Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center Foundation to commemorate the retirement of its founder, Rachel D. Fowlkes, this kinetic mobile is 20' tall 18' x 18' wide and hangs in the grand lobby. Designed with input from the educators staff and administration that worked with her, each element has significant meaning to the mission of the facility. Commissioned by The Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon VA for the prominent wall behind the welcome desk, the nine panels are carefully hung to carry the dynamic composition of the artwork. Slices of images from actual barns in the region are interpreted in both traditional and contemporary styles, then arranged so that the outer edges are from outside old barns, and as the eye moves towards the center of the composition the viewer is now inside the barns. Selected as the signature artwork for the 61st Annual Virginia Highlands Festival and featured on the posters and brochure guidebooks, this figurative sculpture is over 8 feet tall and is made of kevlar air craft carrier rope. Located in the public park across from the post office in downtown Abingdon VA, it was installed in 2009.
